The Yamaha Advantage seemed to be the best choice for us to use for the following reasons. 1) This is the BEST method of teaching counting that I have ever seen....It allows for strong reinforcement of foot patting without worrying about note value and shows the numerical counting under the staff. Hooray! 2) The CD and/or website is terrific directional practice to follow when the students practice at home. 3) Other methods that include a CD sometimes do not include accompaniment tracks for the solos in the book. Yours are the best I have heard. We will use these solos for our first 'competition' in the spring - Solo Day -.
